Guide on how to read Nike shoe tag.

This is my 2nd post on my blog, & 1st post regarding Kicks.

*for ur info, kicks is slang term for sneakers/shoe

Yeah, as a kicks lover (especially Dunk), I wanna share with those Nike user on how to read Nike shoe tag.   This as well can help to avoid a lots of fake Nike shoe out there.  It ain't hard to spot the fake one if u an avid Nike-user.  But for those beginner, this might be helpful...

Those numbers in that shoe tag has it own meaning (lol  of course it has).   (=_=)''

Here it is

See those color lines.  Here's the meaning :-

Black: Obviously, where the shoe was made

Blue: The year of the shoe (made and released)

Brown: The size of the shoe  *i use US9/8.5, or 8  depend on model.

Green: Style  of the shoe, with these numbers you can find out the name of the shoe  *we can say its model & variant of the model.
Emm... I know a few of it.   Let say Nike Terminator Low 309436-172.  The first 6 number that is 309436 is below to Terminator Low but for its High counterpart, it will numbered 308651 (example) .  We can say the third number is start to differ...   9 for low & 8 for high in terminator families.  *I will update more on this.

I found this on one forum they says:-

first number: The line of the shoes
1. regular production
6. special make up
8. ACG
9. limited edition

second number: the category of the shoes

0. running
3. basketball
4. tennis
6. ACG
7. training
8. ACG
9. water

3rd to 6th number unique number of this shoes*  This is model.  3rd to 6th.

Red: Color code, with these numbers you can find out what is the color of the shoe

Ok.  Here's the guide for color code
0. Black
1. white
2. grey/brown
3. green
4. navy/blue
5. Purple
6. red
7. yellow
8. Orange

So for example, I choose Nike Sweet Classic with code 370541-162.  (I owned this  ..lol)

The color code is 162 which means 1(white),  6(red), and 2(grey).

So, to avoid fake nike, make sure that code matches the model of the shoes & code stated on that shoe box.  Emmm.. If those code not matches, it may be fake.

The easiest way is to google & find info first about what shoe u wanna buy.   Get its code from authentic Nike website.  Then u can shop for it with safely (yeah, make sure check the shoe tag 1st before buy).

A lot of nike fake seller out there.  I even found some on Queensbay Penang, BJ & Prangin/Komtar.

Thats all my share regarding Nike shoe tag. see u all. Have a safe shopping (for Nike  lol)

 Ulysses.
